When coolant deteriorates, it becomes more acidic and no longer protects your vehicle from rust. This causes damage to all coolant components, from the heater core, hoses, thermostat, water pump, and radiator. Also, the coolant may loose it's Freezing/Boiling point. (too much water basically in the system. There are certain vehicles that require specialty coolant formulas, such as the OAT (Organic Acid Type), Hybrid Specific, Diesel Engine Specific, ETC. The price listed is subject to change if your vehicle requires one of these or holds more 3 gallons of total capacity.
